As you can see in this picture the owner of this Fz1 elected to use the R1 bottom yoke
The R1 stem was swapped for the Fz1 stem and refashioned as the thread is to short
and the stem to long, The lock stops were cut back as far as possible and the owner
reported that only a small amount of lock is lost.
A new aftermarket top yoke and risers were fitted along with Renthal bars.
The fork length on this bike is 40mm shorter than stock, all the standard parts
retro fit to the R1 forks including the brakes etc.
I considered this option but the use of the standard bottom yoke and given the reported lack of lock I decided to go for a custom set of yokes, not only would these look trick the standard ignition location would be retained and all the brackets retro fit, This was passed over to www.tesperformance.co.uk
